Why the gap matters more than the ranking
If our board and the draft room agree on a player, there is no decision to make. You take him at his price or you do not, and either way the ranking has told you nothing you did not already know from ADP.
The gaps are where the information is. A sportsbook posts a line because it is willing to take money against it; a draft room produces an ADP because thousands of people acted on what they believe. When those two land in different places, one of them is holding information the other has not priced, and that is the pick worth thinking about.
Players the market likes more than the room
These are the players our sportsbook-derived board ranks meaningfully earlier than their average draft position. The recurring pattern is unexciting production: a back who scores touchdowns without catching passes, a receiver whose target share is stable but whose team is dull, a tight end whose value is durability rather than upside.
Drafters systematically underpay for boring, and books do not care whether a player is interesting.
