That alignment exists because his first season in Denver delivered almost exactly what the market expected: a high-volume receiver who does not score touchdowns.

He caught 64 passes for 910 yards and six touchdowns across 16 games, commanding a 22% target share in an offense that split volume between him and Courtland Sutton. The sportsbooks had posted him at 71.86 catches and 925.5 yards before the season, so he came in 8 receptions and 15 yards short while clearing the 5.5 touchdown line by half a score.

The projection for 2026 is 68.5 receptions, 900 receiving yards, and 5.5 touchdowns, which would produce roughly 197.0 implied points across a full season. That is nearly identical to what he just posted, and it reflects a market that has settled on his role: high-floor volume receiver without red-zone upside.

The touchdown ceiling is not variance
