The Lines That Priced the Game, Already Attached

Open and Close, Per Book

With opening and closing lines from 10+ US sportsbooks on every game, you see who moved first, how far, and what it cost — not a single blended number.

Per-book line movement from open to close

The Only Historical Betting API That Grades Every Game

Covered, pushed, over, under and margin are already on the row — against the consensus and against each book. Skip the join. Skip the off-by-half-point bugs.

Automatically graded results

A Consensus Line You Can Defend

One clean line per market, computed the same way every time: the modal number across US books, priced at the mean implied probability. Documented, reproducible, not a black box.

Many sportsbook prices converging into one consensus line

What you can query

Every Factor That Shaped the Game, on the Row

How the line moved

Opener and closer on every market, with the juice at both ends. See which games moved through the key number and which never budged.

Where every book stood

Full-game and period lines from 10+ US sportsbooks, side by side. Spot the book that hung the outlier and what it closed at.

Who worked the game

Lead referee or home-plate umpire on every row. Split any angle by official — the stuff you used to scrape box scores for.

Weather at kickoff

Temperature, wind speed and direction, conditions and the dome flag for outdoor sports. Query totals in 20 mph wind in one filter.

The game situation

Regular season or playoffs, week, neutral site, overtime, start time, venue and city. Every situational flag you would otherwise hand-tag.

Quarter by quarter

Period scores plus 1H / 2H, quarter, first-five-innings and first-period lines. Grade a first-half system against first-half numbers.

Graded against each book

Covered, pushed, over, under and margin — against the consensus and against every book’s own closing number. No settlement code to write.

Query it any way you like

Filter by sport, season, week, date range, team, home/away, book and market. Cursor-paginated JSON or CSV, a full season in one short loop.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Insider API include?

Historical, completed games only: final and period scores, graded results, the consensus and per-book opening and closing lines for moneyline, spread, total and team totals, period markets where they exist, venue, weather and the lead official. See the data dictionary for every field.

Is this live odds?

No, and that is the point. Nothing on the API is an upcoming or in-play line. It is the complete graded record of what happened and what the market said beforehand — current through last night’s finals.

Which sports and seasons are covered?

MLB, NFL and NCAAF from 2022; NBA from the 2022-23 season; NHL from 2023-24. Coverage per sport, season and market — including counts and closing-line completeness — is published on the coverage page and via /v1/sports.

Where do the lines come from?

Openers and closers are captured per book from the major US sportsbooks, stored and never overwritten. The consensus is computed from those rows with a documented method, so it is reproducible for every game.

How does the free trial work?

Add a card, get your key today. Nothing is charged for 3 days; if you cancel from Plan & billing before the trial ends you pay nothing. Otherwise the subscription starts at $199.99/mo and your keys carry on unchanged.

What counts against my quota?

Successful responses (2xx) and cache hits (304). Errors are free. Past seasons are cached for a day, the current season for 15 minutes, and every response carries an ETag so repeat pulls are cheap.

Can I export everything to CSV?

Yes. Every list endpoint takes ?format=csv and pages with a cursor header, so a full season is a short loop. Nested fields flatten to dotted columns ready for pandas, Sheets or DuckDB.

Can I use it in a commercial product?

Yes. Store it, query it, train models on it, and ship it in your own product — commercial use and redistribution inside that product are allowed. The one thing Standard does not include is reselling or republishing the data as an API, bulk dump, or raw data feed. Read the Insider API Terms, or email us if you need a feed license.
