Question 1

How is Implied PTS calculated?

Accepted Answer

Implied PTS comes from a player's real sportsbook season-long props — passing, rushing, and receiving yards and touchdowns, plus receptions — run through standard PPR, half-PPR, or standard fantasy scoring math. It's the market's honest best guess at production, not a writer's hunch or a preseason depth-chart assumption. When a sportsbook moves a line, the ranking moves with it.

Question 2

How is this different from ESPN's default rankings?

Accepted Answer

ESPN's rankings are algorithmic/editorial projections. Vegas Fantasy starts from real money — the lines sportsbooks are actually willing to take action on. The rank column shows exactly which players the market ranks higher or lower than ESPN does, and by how much.

Question 3

Why is only part of the board visible?

Accepted Answer

The top 3 overall players are free to preview. The full board — every player at every position, with market-vs-ESPN context on every row — requires an Insider Fantasy subscription.

Question 4

What do the S and C tags in the Context column mean?

Accepted Answer

S marks a sophomore season — a player's second year, which ESPN and analysts commonly flag as a breakout watch. C marks a contract year — a player whose deal expires after this season, so they're playing 2026 for an extension or a new contract in 2027. Both are shown for context alongside the market-derived ranking, not factored into Implied PTS itself.

Question 5

What does the "Vs '25" column show?

Accepted Answer

It's the change in a player's Vegas-implied rank versus last season — this year's market rank compared to where the same sportsbook props had them ranked in 2025. A positive number means the market has moved on the player since last year; it's a rank-to-rank comparison, not a comparison to how they actually finished.

Question 6

Which scoring formats are supported?

Accepted Answer

Full PPR, Half PPR, and Standard. Implied PTS, rank, and Vs '25 all recalculate for the scoring format you select — switch formats any time with the scoring selector above the board.

Question 7

Do I need ESPN to use the rankings?

Accepted Answer

No — Pre-Draft works on its own. Connecting ESPN (via our Chrome extension) adds live draft sync, "already drafted" dimming, and the My Team roster view on top of the same board.

Question 8

Which leagues/platforms are supported?

Accepted Answer

ESPN fantasy football leagues today, both public and private. Support for other platforms may come later.

Question 9

When do weekly, in-season rankings become available?

Accepted Answer

Once the season starts. Weekly rankings will apply the same sportsbook-props-to-points math week to week, with matchup context (game total, spread) layered on top — filtered to your own roster once ESPN is connected.

Question 10

When does the fantasy football draft start in 2026?

Accepted Answer

Most leagues draft in the two to three weeks before NFL Week 1. The 2026 season opens Thursday, September 10, so the busiest draft window is late August through the first weekend of September. Use the Vegas Fantasy draft board to set your queue before you go on the clock.

Question 11

Who are the 2026 fantasy football sleepers?

Accepted Answer

A Vegas Fantasy sleeper is a player the sportsbooks rank ahead of ESPN ADP — implied points the draft room is still discounting. Sophomores and contract-year players show up here often. The sleepers page lists the ones in the free preview; the full value board is on the main rankings.

Question 12

What are the top fantasy football players for 2026?

Accepted Answer

The top of the Vegas Fantasy board is the market’s ranking of 2026 fantasy football players — QBs, RBs, WRs, and TEs ordered by implied points from season-long props, not an editorial top-10.

Question 13

How does line movement change a player’s rank?

Accepted Answer

Implied PTS is recalculated from the current props, so a raised rushing or receiving line lifts a player’s projection and a lowered line cuts it. A meaningful move on a yardage or touchdown market can shift a player several spots without anything else on the board changing.

Question 14

Are sportsbook projections more accurate than fantasy ADP?

Accepted Answer

They are different, not automatically better. Sportsbook markets have real money enforcing their numbers, which tends to make them disciplined about volume and efficiency. They are still projections, and they carry no information about injuries or role changes that have not happened yet.

Question 15

Should I draft straight off these rankings?

Accepted Answer

Use them as a market check rather than a script. The most useful signal is the gap between a player’s rank here and where he is actually being drafted, because that gap is where the value in your draft room sits.
