No. A lean is a read of how the sharpest book is pricing a game, not a guarantee. Lines also move on news and public action, so use leans alongside price shopping and the rest of your research.

How it works

A lean is a directional read of Pinnacle’s pricing. We look at two things:

Movement: has Pinnacle made a side more likely since the opening line? We count both the number and the juice.
Market gap: does Pinnacle price that side as more likely than other sportsbooks do?

We remove each book’s margin so the comparison is fair. Strong and Max leans require Pinnacle to have moved toward that side. Stable means the lean hasn’t flipped.

This is our read of what Pinnacle’s prices suggest, not access to their model. Prices also react to betting action and news. “+EV at X books” is a separate check: where you can still get a good price on that side.
