Illinois Crushes Purdue's Passing Game — But the Total Is the Real Story

Let's start with what matters most in this game: the total. It opened at 60.5 and is now sitting at 63.5 — a full 4-point move upward — while 75% of bettors are hammering the Under. That is textbook reverse line movement on the total. When the overwhelming public side is Under and the number keeps rising, sharp money is pulling it the other direction. The Vegas Backed badge is firing on the Over here, but transparency matters: its tracked record is 25-22 (53.2%) with a +0.939% ROI, barely above breakeven — and that ROI is negative relative to a fair market, just less bad than the baseline. This is not a strong signal in isolation.
